Getting back in the Raid Habit isn't easy!!! |
Now I won't make this bigger than it was, but we are a pretty low drama guild and when a kid goes off the deep ends and decides to rail about in trade chat because we were so horrible to him, you kind of have to address it.
There are a few rules to raiding, I guess etiquette that I thought everyone kind of knew. I'm gonna lay them down so everyone knows what page we are on just in case.... this ever happens again.
1. Try to be on time.
Now we all know things happen and sometimes you just can't make it on time and no one in the guild / raid group is going to give you a hard time, but if you can avoid it...just show up on time / a few minutes early and ensure everyone is ready to go.
2. Be Patient
Raiding takes time / effort and probably a lot of messing up before getting something right. Have you ever tried to get 10 people to work together at something and not had to work on the organization for a bit... things take time and you may break a few eggs before you get things just perfect. We may wipe, we may have a repair bill, but in the end this is all about doing something together for fun so realize that it may take a while to get it right.
3.Don't Pitch a fit
This is a game and pitching a fit or losing your temper over wiping or not getting that important piece of gear you wanted doesn't benefit you or anyone else. Try to remember that while everyone understand you want to get stuff, its not always about the stuff and focus more on the entire raid than anything else. Everyone in the guild is nice and if you have an issue and you talk about it, its most likely we will work to help you out. BUT.... if you throw a tantrum and start being rude to / offending other people in the guild...it will get you a demotion or a gkick because we just don't do that.
So with that being said...thats pretty much it for raids. We try to be fair, we try to be jovial and we pretty much try to help anyone... but... if you are going to spontaneously drop the raid and then gquit and go on trade and bad mouth the guild because you had a 91 gold repair bill and you "wasted your time wiping" then gquit now and save the guild and everyone else some time.
